Quad bike safety: Getting home safe is what matters most

Quad bikes are a leading cause of death on Australian farms. In the last ten years, over 180 families have lost a loved one in a quad bike incident. These deaths were preventable.

Ride smart

Quad bikes are useful on the land, however pushing them beyond their limitations could have deadly consequences.

If you or your workers use quad bikes, you can manage those risks and get home safe with our quad bike safety tips:

install a roll bar

  • get training – learn how to ride actively
  • ride to the conditions
  • always wear a helmet and other protective gear
  • never overload a quad bike
  • keep kids under 16 off adult sized quad bikes.
